Description
The weatherproof HRXL-MaxSonar-WR is a rugged ultrasonic sensor component module. This outdoor sensor offers very short to long range detection and a compact, rugged PVC housing. The ultrasonic sensor meets the IP67 water ingress standard and fits standard 3/4-inch PVC electrical conduit fittings.
The MB7384 HRXL-MaxSonar-WRS is a cost-effective, rugged ultrasonic snow depth sensor designed for reliable snow depth measurement. Internally, multiple sensor readings are analyzed using algorithms optimized for snow measurement. This is the base model for the MaxSonar snow depth measurement sensors. The sensor precisely applies temperature compensation to each reading, either with the integrated temperature sensor or the optional external temperature sensor ( HR-MaxTemp ).
High acoustic output power combined with continuously variable gain, automatic real-time background calibration, real-time waveform signature analysis, and noise suppression algorithms result in virtually noise-free range readings. This holds true even in the presence of many different acoustic or electrical noise sources. The HRXL MaxSonar WR sensors are factory calibrated to match tight sensor beam patterns, providing reliable detection ranges over long distances.
The MB7364 is the RS232 version of this sensor.
