The XL-MaxSonar-WRMA1 ignores smaller targets and reports only the target area with the highest acoustic yield. This is the most advanced weatherproof sensor designed for target detection and can be used outdoors or in tank or vessel applications.
The weatherproof XL-MaxSonar-WRMA1 is a rugged ultrasonic sensor component module. This outdoor sensor offers very short to long range detection and a compact, rugged PVC housing. The ultrasonic sensor meets the IP67 water ingress standard and fits standard 3/4-inch PVC electrical conduit fittings.
High acoustic output power combined with continuously variable gain, automatic real-time background calibration, real-time waveform signature analysis, and noise suppression algorithms result in virtually noise-free range readings. This is true even in the presence of many different acoustic or electrical noise sources. The XL MaxSonar WR sensors are factory calibrated to adjust to tight sensor beam patterns and provide reliable detection ranges over long distances.
The MB7052 is the pulse width output version of this sensor.
The MB7070 is the standard version of this sensor.
