The XL-MaxSonar-EZ1 is the ideal choice for people detection applications.
The sensor is small, but its high acoustic output combined with continuously variable gain, automatic real-time background calibration, real-time waveform signature analysis, and real-time noise cancellation algorithms result in virtually noise-free range measurements. This is true even in the presence of many different acoustic or electrical noise sources. The XL MaxSonar AE sensor line is factory-tuned to the sensor's beam patterns, providing a long-range detection range.
The MB1310 is a version of this sensor with a shorter maximum range.
