Description
The XL-MaxSonar-AE4 has the highest noise tolerance and the narrowest beam of all Maxbotix indoor sensors. The sensor is designed and calibrated to reliably detect large targets in environments with strong acoustic or electrical noise sources.
The sensor may be small, but its high acoustic output combined with continuously variable gain, automatic real-time background calibration, real-time waveform signature analysis, and real-time noise cancellation algorithms result in virtually noise-free range readings. This is true even in the presence of a wide variety of acoustic or electrical noise sources. The XL MaxSonar AE sensor line is factory-tuned to the sensor's beam patterns, providing a long-range detection range.
The XL-MaxSonar-AE4's performance for large targets is surpassed only by the MB7092.
