The I2CXL-MaxSonar-EZ sensors feature an I2C bus. This allows for easy I2C integration and operation with multiple sensors over a single bus.
The I2CXL-MaxSonar-EZ4 has the highest noise tolerance and narrowest beam of any Maxbotix indoor sensor. The sensor is designed and calibrated to provide reliable distance information for large targets, even in environments with strong acoustic or electrical noise sources.
The sensor is small, but the high acoustic output power combined with continuously variable gain, automatic real-time background calibration, real-time waveform signature analysis, and real-time noise cancellation algorithms result in almost noise-free distance measurements. This also applies in the presence of many of the various acoustic or electrical noise sources. The I2CXL-MaxSonar-EZ sensor line is factory tuned to the sensor's beam patterns and provides long-range sensing range.
