The I2CXL-MaxSonar-EZ sensors feature an I2C bus interface. This allows for easy I2C integration and multi-sensor operation over a single bus.
The I2CXL-MaxSonar-EZ1 offers lower hardware gain and a smaller, narrower detection zone than the MB1202. This makes the I2CXL-MaxSonar-EZ1 an excellent choice for personal detection applications.
The sensor is small, but the high acoustic output power combined with continuously variable gain, real-time automatic background calibration, real-time real-time waveform signature analysis, and noise cancellation algorithms result in almost noise-free distance measurements. This applies even in the presence of many different acoustic or electrical noise sources. The I2CXL-MaxSonar-EZ sensor line is factory tuned to the sensor's beam patterns and provides long-range sensing range.
