The XL-MaxSonar-EZ0 offers the widest and most sensitive beam pattern of any MaxBotix indoor sensor. This makes the XL-MaxSonar-EZ0 an excellent choice when wide beam detection, reliable person detection or reliable small obstacle detection is required.
The sensor is small, but the high acoustic output power combined with continuously variable gain, real-time automatic background calibration, real-time real-time waveform signature analysis and noise reduction algorithms results in almost noise-free distance measurements. This also applies in the presence of many different acoustic or electrical noise sources. The XL-MaxSonar-EZ sensor line is factory tuned to the sensor's beam patterns and provides long-range detection.
