Description
The HRXL-MaxSonar-WRCT is a weatherproof sensor designed for outdoor detection and ranging. The weatherproof HRXL-MaxSonar-WRCT is a rugged ultrasonic sensor component module. This outdoor sensor offers very short to long range detection and a compact, rugged PVC housing. The ultrasonic sensor meets the IP67 water ingress standard and fits standard 3/4-inch PVC electrical pipe fittings.
High acoustic output power combined with continuously variable gain, automatic real-time background calibration, real-time waveform signature analysis, and noise suppression algorithms result in virtually noise-free range readings. This is true even in the presence of a wide variety of acoustic or electrical noise sources. The HRXL MaxSonar WRC sensors are factory calibrated to match tight sensor beam patterns and provide reliable detection ranges over long distances.
Some MaxBotix outdoor modules are available in a lighter and more compact housing.
The MB7380 is the standard version of this sensor.
