What LoRaWAN converters & sensor nodes are available?
RS485/UART-to-LoRaWAN Converters
The RS485 converters connect devices with an RS485 or UART interface, such as Modbus meters, industrial sensors, or controllers, wirelessly to LoRaWAN. They're IP67 waterproof and available with either M12 or M16 cable glands as RS485-LB-12 and RS485-LB-16. The W models RS485W-LB-12 and RS485W-LB-16 additionally offer a 12 V output to power connected sensors. For off-grid outdoor use, the solar-powered variants RS485-LS-12 and RS485-LS-16 are available.
SDI-12-to-LoRaWAN Converter
The SDI-12 converter reads SDI-12-capable measurement probes and transmits the values via LoRaWAN. Available as SDI-12-LB-M12 and SDI-12-LB-M16, as well as in the solar-powered versions SDI-12-LS-M12 and SDI-12-LS-M16. These converters are commonly used in environmental, hydrology, and agricultural applications.
Analog Sensor Converters (0–10 V / 4–20 mA)
The PS-LB-NA converts analog sensor signals (0–10 V voltage or 4–20 mA current) into LoRaWAN data packets, making it suitable for the wireless connection of classic industrial sensors. The housing variants with M12, M16, and M20 cable glands cover different cable diameters.
Universal Sensor Nodes (SN50v3)
The SN50v3 is a waterproof, universal LoRa sensor node with multiple inputs and outputs, allowing a wide range of external sensors to be connected. The battery variants (LB) are available with M12, M16, and M20 glands, as well as an NH version. In addition, the solar-powered models (LS) are available with M12, M16, M20, and NH variants. Ideal for implementing custom measurement tasks flexibly, without any hardware development of your own.
LoRaWAN I/O Controller (LT-22222-L)
The LT-22222-L is a LoRaWAN I/O controller with digital and analog inputs/outputs as well as relays. It's suitable for wirelessly switching, controlling, and capturing states, for example in building and facility automation.
Typical applications
Retrofitting existing sensors & meters
RS485, SDI-12, and analog converters connect existing sensors, Modbus meters, and measurement probes to LoRaWAN, with no need to replace them.
Implementing custom measurement tasks
Universal sensor nodes like the SN50v3 can be freely equipped with external sensors, enabling custom IoT solutions without any radio development of your own.
Wireless switching & control
With the LoRaWAN I/O controller LT-22222-L, devices can be switched wirelessly and operating states captured via digital and analog inputs/outputs and relays.
Environmental & agricultural monitoring
SDI-12 and solar-powered converters are suitable for off-grid continuous use in the field, for example to capture soil, water, or weather data.
