Description
The Pololu Zumo 32U4 robot is a versatile robot based on the Arduino-compatible ATmega32U4 MCU. The robot features two 50:1 HP gearmotors with integrated dual motor drivers, an LCD display, a quadrature encoder, line sensors,
side and front proximity sensors and an IMU.
The robot is just under 10x10 cm in size, making it suitable for robot sumo competitions. The robot weighs only 275g with batteries (170g without batteries)
The robot is delivered assembled and no soldering is required. Only four AA batteries (we recommend our 2100mAh rechargeable batteries or 2500mAh rechargeable batteries) and a USB-A to Micro-B cable for programming are additionally required.
The Zumo 32U4 features two H-bridge motor drivers and a variety of integrated sensors, including a pair of encoders for closed-loop motor control, a complete inertial measurement unit (3-axis accelerometer, gyroscope and magnetometer), five downward-facing reflectance sensors for line following or edge detection, and front and side proximity sensors for obstacle detection. Three on-board buttons provide a convenient interface for user input, and an LCD display, a buzzer and LEDs allow the robot to give feedback.
