Description
The VLS-H5 captures highly accurate point cloud data of pool walls through 360° rotation at 6 revolutions per second. In combination with SLAM algorithms, the sensor enables underwater robots to reliably map, position, and detect obstacles.
In clear water (NTU ≤ 0.5), a single scan covers more than 78 m² of pool surface. Even in turbid water (NTU ≤ 4), an effective range of ≥ 1.5 m is maintained. Hardware and software-based ambient light suppression increases tolerance to direct sunlight to 160 KLux.
The compact housing (75 x 52 x 53 mm) is IPX8 waterproof and designed for continuous operation down to 4 m water depth. Corrosion, scratch, and UV-resistant materials and coatings ensure durability and easy integration.
