Description
The Pololu Zumo 32U4 robot is a versatile robot based on the Arduino-compatible ATmega32U4 MCU. This robot kit includes most of the components you need to build a robot vehicle. Only two gearmotors and four AA batteries must be purchased separately.
The kit features an integrated dual motor driver, an LCD display, quadrature encoders, line sensors, side and front proximity sensors and an IMU. Assembled, the robot is smaller than 10x10 cm and therefore suitable for robot sumo competitions. With batteries, the robot weighs only 275g (170g without batteries).
Note: Please note that this product is a robot kit. Soldering is required for assembly. In addition, two motors with 50:1 , 75: 1 or 100:1 and 4 AA batteries ( we recommend our 2100mAh rechargeable batteries or 2500mAh rechargeable batteries) must be purchased separately. A USB-A to Micro-B cable is required for programming.
In addition to the robot kit, we also carry pre-assembled Zumo robot vehicles with the respective gearmotors: 50:1, 75:1 and 100:1.
The Zumo 32U4 features two H-bridge motor drivers and a variety of integrated sensors, including a pair of encoders for closed-loop motor control, a complete inertial measurement unit (3-axis accelerometer, gyroscope and magnetometer ), five downward-facing reflectance sensors for line following or edge detection, and front and side proximity sensors for obstacle detection. Three on-board buttons provide a convenient interface for user input, and an LCD display, a buzzer and LEDs allow the robot to give feedback .
