Pololu DRV8833 Dual Motor Driver Carrier

The Texas Instruments DRV8833 is a dual H-bridge motor driver that can drive two bidirectional DC motors at 2.7 to 10.8 V. It can deliver up to 1.2 A continuously per channel and tolerate peak currents of up to 2 A per channel for a few seconds, making it an ideal driver for small motors operated at relatively low voltages.

Since this board is a carrier for the DRV8833, we recommend reading the DRV8833 datasheet carefully. The board is populated with SMD components, including the DRV8833, and has a FET for reverse-voltage protection.

This board is very similar to the DRV8835 dual H-bridge motor driver in operating voltage range and continuous current capability, but the DRV8835 has a lower minimum operating voltage, offers an additional control interface mode and is smaller.

The DRV8833 has a higher peak current rating (2 A per channel versus 1.5 A), offers optional integrated current limiting and requires no external logic voltage.
