Description
This module uses an LM74700-Q1 controller for reverse polarity protection (ideal diode controller) as well as an N-channel MOSFET to provide protection against negative voltages down to -60V. It operates from input voltages from 4V (3.2V after startup) to 60V and has a path resistance of about 10mΩ when the MOSFET is on (i.e. when the power supply is connected with correct polarity). This allows currents of up to about 12A in continuous operation (and up to about 40A for a few seconds). This version acts as an ideal diode and blocks reverse currents from the output to the input.
