The HRXL-MaxSonar-WRMT ignores smaller targets and only reports the target area with the greatest acoustic feedback. This weatherproof sensor is designed for target detection outdoors or in tank or vessel applications.

The HRXL MaxSonar WRMT sensors are equipped with filter firmware that allows the sensor to ignore smaller targets and noise while still reporting the target that provides the largest acoustic return. The sensor also suppresses periodic noise, even if the noise has a higher amplitude than the acoustic return from the target. This gives the user the flexibility to continuously detect larger targets in the presence of overflow and noise. When the largest target is removed from the field of view, the HRXL MaxSonar WRMT switches to the target that provides the next largest detectable return.

The "Most Likely" filter setting reports the distance to the largest acoustic return, while ignoring smaller targets. If targets have a similar amplitude return, the closest target is given priority.

The MB7380 is the standard TTL version of this sensor line.
