Description
The Dragino LWL04 is a compact LoRaWAN sensor for fast and reliable water leak detection. As soon as water connects the three adjustable metal probes on the bottom of the device, a leak event is triggered and reported via the EU868 LoRaWAN network.
The sensor is particularly easy to install – it doesn't require mounting, but simply needs to be placed on a flat surface. The height-adjustable contacts ensure precise detection, only when there is actual water contact between all three sensors.
Activation is magnetically activated via the bottom of the housing with optical LED feedback. Thanks to IP65 protection, the LWL04 can also be used in humid environments such as basements or utility rooms.
The included CR123A battery allows for up to 70,000 transmissions, enabling a service life of 2 to 10 years – depending on the transmission interval. The sensor supports over-the-air (OTA) firmware updates and can be easily configured via downlink. In addition to periodic status reports, the LWL04 can report leak events with counter and duration information. Alternatively, event transmission can be deactivated to send data only cyclically.
