Description
The DR-ANT-OD-Fold is a compact, foldable LoRaWAN dipole antenna for the 868 MHz and 915 MHz bands. It is mounted directly to the device via an RP-SMA connector. The hinge allows it to be angled by 90°, so it can be oriented to suit the installation, for example, positioned vertically on a side-mounted connector. With a length of 200 mm and a slim rubber housing 13 mm wide, it is a space-saving solution for gateways and end devices.
The antenna is omnidirectional, vertically polarized, and has an impedance of 50 Ω. In the EU868 band, it achieves a gain of 0.89 dBi and an efficiency of 62.4% according to the manufacturer's measurements (915 MHz: 0.79 dBi, 64.3%). The standing wave ratio is a maximum of 2.0. The operating temperature range is from −45 °C to +85 °C. The manufacturer has subjected the antenna to various tests, including moisture and heat tests, temperature cycling, salt spray, vibration, and drop tests.
Ideal as a standard or replacement antenna for Dragino gateways and LoRaWAN end devices with an RP-SMA antenna socket when flexible orientation is required.
Note: The antenna has an RP-SMA connector and is not compatible with standard SMA sockets.
