Description
The biosignalsplux Electrogastrography (EGG) sensor was developed for user-friendly recording of the stomach's electrical activity. Several sensors can be used simultaneously in a cost-effective and straightforward manner to assess, for example, gut motility and overall stomach activity.
The bipolar configuration with two measuring electrodes captures the electrical potentials in the desired area of the stomach relative to a reference electrode (placed in an area with low bioelectrical activity). The resulting signal is the amplified difference between these two leads, thereby eliminating unwanted interference signals. Thanks to its practical design, this configuration can be unobtrusively used in a typical EEG examination.
