Description
The biosignalsplux electrogastrography (EGG) sensor is designed for user-friendly recording of the stomach's electrical activity. Multiple sensors can be used simultaneously in a cost-effective and straightforward manner to assess, for example, gut motility and general gastric activity.
The bipolar configuration with two measuring electrodes captures the electrical potentials in the desired region of the stomach relative to a reference electrode (placed in an area with low bioelectrical activity). The resulting signal is the amplified difference between these two leads, which eliminates unwanted interference. Thanks to its practical design, this configuration can be used discreetly in a typical EEG examination.
