Description
This optical sensor provides raw red and infrared (IR) light reflection data for developers and researchers who wish to develop their own algorithms to determine oxygen saturation (SpO₂) or related physiological measures.
Unlike conventional SpO₂ sensors, this device does not directly calculate oxygen saturation values, but rather provides the raw sensor output data. This enables the development of custom algorithms in areas where high-precision optical biosignal data is required.
Applications range from biomedical studies and algorithm development to research in wearables, psychophysiology, and much more.
Compatibility: Operation of this sensor requires a biosignalsplux data acquisition system, which is sold separately.
Special Features:
- Raw Data Output: Provides unprocessed red and infrared spectral reflection data for algorithm development.
- Flexible Use in Research: Finger clip version for conventional setups; versatile version for experimental sensor placements.
- Suitable for Multimodal Research: Fully compatible with all biosignalsplux acquisition systems and combinable with other biosignalsplux sensors.
- Developer-Oriented: Ideal for researchers developing their own or experimental SpO₂ algorithms.
Specifications:
- Dual LED illumination: 1 red and 1 infrared LED
- Red LED wavelength: 660 nm
- Infrared LED wavelength: 950 nm
- Detector sensitivity: 400 nm–1100 nm (max. at 920 nm)
