The XL-MaxSonar-EZ2 is an indoor sensor. It offers the best ratio between wide and narrow beams and a good balance between small and large target detection. The XL-MaxSonar-EZ2 is suitable for almost all indoor applications, including people detection, large target detection, long range detection and applications that require high noise tolerance.
The sensor is small, but the high acoustic output power combined with continuously variable gain, real-time automatic background calibration, real-time real-time waveform signature analysis and noise cancellation algorithms result in almost noise-free distance measurements.
This applies even in the presence of many different sources of acoustic or electrical noise. The XL-MaxSonar EZ sensor line is factory matched to the sensor's beam patterns and provides long-range detection.
