Water Sensors at a Glance: These Are the Categories
Water Leak & Leakage Sensors
Dragino’s leakage sensors reliably detect water leaks and transmit alarms wirelessly via LoRaWAN. The compact LWL02 is a simple water leak sensor for point monitoring, while the LWL04 offers advanced features. The WL03A uses a leak detection rope (Rope Type) to monitor larger areas linearly. Use it for server rooms, utility rooms, or industrial facilities. Additional leak detection cables are available in 1-meter and 10-meter lengths.
Flow Sensors
The Dragino SW3L series includes LoRaWAN flow sensors for outdoor use in various pipe diameters (DN4, DN6, DN10, DN20). Battery-powered (LB) and solar-powered (LS) variants are available. The sensors measure water flow rate wirelessly and are suitable for monitoring irrigation systems, water lines, and industrial processes.
Water Quality Sensors
For comprehensive water quality measurement, EXP-Tech offers specialized probes from the Dragino DR series as well as laboratory sensors from Sensorex:
- pH sensor (DR-PH01, Sensorex pH1000/pH1400/S272CD): Measurement of pH in drinking water, wastewater, and industrial processes
- ORP sensor / Redox sensor (DR-OPR1, Sensorex ORP1000/ORP2000/ORP3000): Measurement of the oxidation-reduction potential as an indicator of water quality
- Conductivity sensor (DR-ECK1.0, DR-ECK10.0, Sensorex CS150/CS200/CS875): Measurement of electrical conductivity as an indicator of ion concentration and purity
- Turbidity sensor (DR-TS1): Measurement of suspended solids and turbidity in water and wastewater
- Dissolved oxygen sensor (DR-DO1): Measurement of oxygen content – relevant for aquaculture, wastewater treatment plants, and environmental monitoring
The Dragino WQS-LB is a LoRaWAN water quality sensor converter that wirelessly connects the DR probes and transmits the measurement data via LoRaWAN.
UVC sensor
The Dragino UV254-LB measures UVC radiation at 254 nm—a wavelength range relevant for UV disinfection of water. It is therefore perfectly suited for monitoring UV disinfection systems in water treatment.

Industrial & Environmental Monitoring
For professional use, EXP-Tech offers rugged water sensors designed for industrial applications. We carry conductivity sensors with IP68 protection and an RS485 interface, as well as LoRaWAN leak sensors for wireless monitoring of distributed systems. The Sensorex process sensors (S272CD) are designed for continuous use in industrial process environments.
